Cochrane Library training

A half-day training session focussing on the Cochrane Library, provided by Wiley, which will be taking place in November.

This event is aimed at information and library staff, researchers and medical staff.

Description:

The Cochrane Library is a collection of databases that contain high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making.

In addition to Cochrane reviews, The Cochrane Library provides other sources of reliable information, from other systematic review abstracts, technology assessments, economic evaluations, and individual clinical trials - all the current evidence in one single environment.

During our session, we will take you through:

  • The aims and goals of the Cochrane Collaboration.

  • How to browse and search systematic reviews and protocols.

  • Why systematic reviews are an increasingly important source of evidence on the effects of healthcare.
